Jupiter Ascending (2015)

I spent around 6 months working as a sequence lead on Jupiter Ascending whilst at One Of Us. I worked on shots from various sequences, but mainly concentrated on the fire-fight that takes place in Stinger’s farm.
This involved designing the looks of various weapon effects (a simple muzzle flash is not something you will find in a Wachowski’s movie – every weapon’s fire had to have some form of intricate particle-system, something that is not conveyed with single frame grabs), Caine’s translucent energy shield and his flying boots. I oversaw around 35 shots, working alongside around 10 other artists. We also split certain tasks and shared assets with other facilites such as Framestore, Double Negative and Method.
